More Cal Kestis Coming To “Star Wars”

EA, Lucasfilm

More of Cameron Monaghan’s Cal Kestis from the “Jedi – Fallen Order” games is coming to the “Star Wars” franchise.

Over 40 million fans have connected with the Force-wielding character seen in that 2019 game and its 2023 follow-up “Star Wars: Jedi – Survivor,” the character becoming fairly popular to the point that some suspect he may show up in live-action form in a “Star Wars” series or movie.

However, there’s been nothing concrete on that front – the biggest talk coming from scoopers last year saying Lucasfilm finally had ‘firm plans’ to bring Cal into a live-action “Star Wars” project, but hadn’t decided which one.

Now, speaking with GameRant as part of a discussion about theme park attractions at Disneyland, a representative from Lucasfilm said of the character’s return: “Never say never. We’ve got his lightsaber in the park. We’ve got more Cal stories coming.”

The published book “Star Wars: Secrets of the Jedi: The Chronicles of Luke Skywalker” implies the character survived into the New Republic era. Monaghan is currently 32 years old, and his character is aged 18 and 23, respectively, in the games.

In the era of “The Mandalorian,” if he’s still alive, the character would be hitting his early 40s.

Meanwhile, a third instalment in the “Jedi” video game series is actively being produced, which is expected to conclude the current interactive trilogy.
