Disney+ has reportedly handed out a second-season renewal for its “The Mighty Ducks” revival with filming to begin in early 2022. A return date has not yet been determined.
Original trilogy screenwriter Steven Brill created the ten-episode series produced in-house at ABC Signature Studios. Lauren Graham, Brady Noon, and Emilio Estevez star while Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa are credited as co-creators and will return as showrunners.
The series is currently certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with an 89% rating among critics and 76% among viewers. It premiered on the service on March 26th with the first season wrapping May 28th.
