Get ready for some sun drenched Scandi vistas, Jack Reynor’s floppy fella and plenty of blood to go around all in glorious 4K as Ari Aster’s “Midsommar: Director’s Cut” is coming to disc.
The horror feature’s almost insanely long 171 minute director’s cut was previously screened in select theaters and has been available to purchase digitally, but hasn’t been made available on Blu-ray in the U.S. until now.
A24 has gone further though – releasing a special edition of the film with in both 4K UHD and regular Blu-ray editions complete with a 62-page booklet with new artwork by Ragnar Persson, a written foreword by Martin Scorsese, and all enclosed in a hardcover clothbound slipcase.
The disc release will ship on July 20th.
