Michael Pena has signed on to star in “Sherlock” helmer Jeremy Lovering’s horror thriller “The Bringing” at Columbia Pictures.
The true story tale centers on Elisa Lam, a woman who was found dead in a water tank on the roof of the Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles – but not before the security camera in the elevator recorded her behaving oddly.
Said footage later went viral. Pena plays a man investigating her death in a film that boasts a Black List script by Brandon and Phillip Murphy along with Kevin Kolsch and Denis Widmyer.
Matt Tolmach, Daniela Cristina Cretu and David Manpearl are producing.
