Michael Keaton Had A $2M “Batgirl” Payday

Warner Bros. Pictures

A new report on Marvel and DC movie paydays has revealed that actor Michael Keaton reportedly scored $2 million to appear in the now-shelved “Batgirl” film at Warner Bros. Discovery.

THR reports that Keaton put in around a week’s worth of work for the reprisal of his Batman role in what sources dub a “glorified cameo.” The film, of course, has famously been shelved with Warner Bros. Discovery taking an alleged $90 million tax write-off.

How much we’ll see of Keaton in the bat suit again is in question. “Batgirl” is locked in a vault and will not be able to screen anywhere. Keaton’s appearance in “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” meanwhile is believed to have been cut.

That leaves only his role “The Flash”. Whilst his other two returns are mere cameos, he’s said to have a significant part in the Ezra Miller-led “The Flash” film, which is still on track for a June 2023 release.
