Australian actor Michael Bishop (“Spin,” “Swinging Safari,” “Grace Beside Me”) has been cast as Jonathan Kent for the upcoming third season of The CW’s “Superman & Lois” series.
Bishop steps into the role following the exit of Jordan Elsass who played the character, the eldest son of Clark Kent/Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch), across the first two seasons of the series.
Elsass abruptly revealed last month he wouldn’t be returning for the show’s third season due to personal reasons.
He joins a cast that also includes Alexander Garfin as his brother Jordan Kent, Erik Valdez as Kyle Cushing, Inde Navarrette as Sarah Cushing, Wole Parks as The Stranger, Adam Rayner as Tal-Rho, Dylan Walsh as General Samuel Lane and Emmanuelle Chriqui as Lana Lang Cushing.
Production on the show’s third season is underway in Vancouver.
