Michael B. Jordan Plans Muhammad Ali Series

He stole the Superbowl ads appearing as a sexy version of Amazon’s Alexa, and now actor/producer Michael B. Jordan and his Outlier Society label is expanding his existing deal with the tech giant.

The new deal goes beyond the original TV deal at Amazon Studios and is now an exclusive overall pact for television along with a new first-look film deal to produce and acquire elevated films to showcase diversity and beef up Amazon’s growing original movies slate.

The first project to be announced with this new deal is a limited series about the life of famed boxing champ Muhammad Ali. Ali’s estate and Jay-Z’s Roc Nation company are involved in the series which will be penned by Josh Wakely and is currently going by the title of “The Greatest”.

Due to his being so closely associated with the “Creed” franchise, Jordan will not star as Ali. Roc Nation will be handling the music for the project which Jordan says will “go beyond the ring, and more into the man.”

Amazon Prime will release the Jordan-led adaptation of Tom Clancy’s “Without Remorse” on April 30th, that film potentially launching a feature franchise with his character John Clarke.
