“One Night in Miami,” “The Comey Rule” and “The OA” actor Kingsley Ben-Adir is set to join Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn in the Marvel Studios series “Secret Invasion”.
Ben-Adir will reportedly play one of the main villains in the series alongside Jackson reprising his role of Nick Fury and Mendelsohn his part of the Skrull Talos which he played in “Captain Marvel”.
The series will deal with a faction of shape-shifting Skrulls who have been infiltrating Earth for years. Kyle Bradstreet is attached to write and executive produce.
The three are the sole cast members announced so far for the project. Nia DaCosta’s “Captain Marvel” sequel is currently in pre-production and though not confirmed, could well tie into the setup for “Secret Invasion”.
“WandaVision” actress Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau character could also potentially be a part of the series as she was last seen heading off to see Nick Fury who is in space with the Skrulls. For now, Parris is only confirmed to be returning for “Captain Marvel 2”.
