Following in the wake of Tuesday’s audio leak from the set of “Mission: Impossible 7,” the Tom Cruise-led feature has shut down a little early for their planned holiday break.
This past week saw the audio, in which Cruise yelled at two crew members on set at Leavesden Studios in the UK for allegedly breaking COVID-19 guidelines, go viral. Following that outburst, Cruise reportedly had another one which led to five crew members quitting the production.
The Sun, who first shared the audio, also broke the news of the earlier shutdown. Cruise is heading to Miami to spend the holidays with his son, Connor/. According to a source they say: “it has been exhausting keeping the production on track for so long, and it’s not getting any easier… tensions have been mounting for a while.” As a result, Cruise decided it was time for a break.
Director/co-writer Christopher McQuarrie has also issued a post on social media seemingly confirming that work on the project has concluded for the year.
