MGM has picked up the screen rights to female-driven comics title “Mercy Sparx” for The Picture Company and Assemble Media.
The story follows a female demon sent to Earth on a mission which she must complete while hiding among humans. She soon has an existential crisis and begins to see the gray area between good and evil, forcing her to choose her place within it and compromises her mission.
Nick Shafir will pen the script while Alex Heineman, Andrew Rona and Jack Heller will produce.
