McShane Confirmed For Fourth “John Wick”

Mcshane Confirmed For Fourth John Wick
Lionsgate

Ian McShane has closed a deal to reprise his role as Winston opposite Keanu Reeves in the Chad Stahelski-directed “John Wick: Chapter 4” for Lionsgate.

McShane joins the previously announced cast of Donnie Yen, Hiroyuki Sanada, Rina Sawayama, Shamier Anderson along with fellow returnee Lance Reddick.

McShane has played the role throughout the franchise to date. He is the owner of the New York Continental Hotel, a high-ranking official of the High Table and arguably the most important character in the franchise after Wick himself.

He also infamously betrays Wick in the final moments of the third film, shooting him off the Continental’s roof. However it’s not clear if he helped feign John’s death or if he genuinely intended to kill him. As such it’s not clear how he’ll figure back into the story.

The new film is currently in production and will shoot in France, Germany and Japan. Shay Hatten and Michael Finch wrote the script which is being produced by Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, and Chad Stahelski.
