A few days ago came rumors that the Tom Cruise-led “Mission: Impossible 5” had to shut down production for around a week in order to work out a better finale.
Said report claimed that the film’s director Chris McQuarrie was given a little extra time to work out a new and improved finale alongside a mysterious unnamed writer friend. McQuarrie has now taken to social media to debunk the rumor, sending out two tweets. Here’s the first:

There was also a second, which has since been deleted. It said: “Filming never wrapped. We took a short break to prep the finale properly.”
The film is still very much on track for a July 31st release, no word on when the first trailer will drop as yet.
