Oscar-winning writer/director Adam McKay (“The Big Short,” “Vice”) and his production company Hyperobject Industries have signed a first-look deal with Paramount Pictures.
The first collaboration of this new partnership will be “Don’t Look Up,” a dark satire said to be akin to “Network” and “Wag the Dog”.
The story follows two mid-level astronomers discover a meteorite will destroy earth in six months and must go on a media tour to warn mankind.
McKay is still working on the script’s first draft and so it will be a while before we see this.
