Max Parker Is Heimdall In “God of War”

Netflix

“Boots” and “Vampire Academy” star Max Parker has joined the cast of the big-budget “God of War” TV series at Amazon Prime Video reports Deadline.

Parker was previously rumored to be playing the role of the 2018 reboot game’s main antagonist Baldur, but it turns out that’s not his part.

Instead, he’s been cast as Heimdall, the Watchman of Asgard and one of the sons of Odin who also has clairvoyant abilities.

Handsome and dynamic, he feels unappreciated by his father and underestimated by the rest of the family and seeks to improve his status and power however possible.

The series is based on the 2018 semi-reboot and its sequel “God of War Ragnarok” rather than the original games, and follows father and son Kratos and Atreus as they embark on a journey to spread the ashes of their wife and mother, Faye.

Through their adventures, Kratos tries to teach his son to be a better god, while Atreus tries to teach his father how to be a better human. Heimdall appeared in ‘Ragnarök’ as a minor antagonist alongside the game’s main villains of Odin and Thor.

Parker joins a cast that includes Ryan Hurst as Kratos and Teresa Palmer as Phoebe/Sif. The live-action series has received a two-season order with pre-production underway in Vancouver.

Ronald D. Moore (“Battlestar Galactica,” “Outlander”) serves as writer, executive producer, and showrunner. Frederick E.O. Toye has been set to direct the first two episodes.
