AICN reports that Matthew Vaughn (“Stardust,” “Layer Cake”) is currently writing and will direct an adaptation of “Wanted” creator Mark Millar’s comic book series “Kick-Ass.”
The story tells the tale of a teenage wannabe costumed superhero. Unfortunately he’s not fit, has no superpowers and frequently gets beaten up by his opponents.
Millar is expected to be more hands-on with this project than with this Summer’s “Wanted” which takes some notable departures from the comic.
