The new live-action take on “Masters of the Universe” is well into post-production at this point with talk that we’ll get to see a teaser trailer sometime in the near future.
Now, fansite HeMania.com is reporting an unfinished version of the teaser has gone online – one so covered in watermarks and low-res that it’s hard to make out details. They say it’s so early that several shots show green screen still, adding it was around “75% WIP”.
The clip reportedly opens with Prince Adam (Nicholas Galitzine) talking to a friend on Earth and they are confused because Cringer is there and they discuss the green tiger.
From there it goes to Prince Adam going to his home world and learning about his lineage from who appears to be the sorceress (Morena Baccarin).
It adds you see Prince Adam talking to a few of people from Eternia. Then there’s a brief glimpse of Skeletor (Jared Leto) who is said to be close to his animated series version, and possibly Evil-Lyn (Alison Brie), and then Prince Adam raising the sword and yelling “I HAVE THE POWER” before transforming into He-Man.
A few quick scenes of him fighting as He-Man caps it off. The film also stars Camila Mendes as Teela, Idris Elba as Man-At-Arms, James Purefoy and Charlotte Riley as King Randor and Queen Marlena, Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, Hafthor Bjornsson as Goat Man, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Fisto, Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops, Jon Xue Zhang as Ram-Man, Sasheer Zamata as Suzie, Christian Vunipola as Hussein and Kristen Wiig as Roboto.
The story follows Prince Adam, who crashed to Earth in a spaceship at 10 years old and was separated from his magical Power Sword – the only link to his home on Eternia. After tracking it down almost two decades later, Prince Adam is whisked back across space to defend his home planet against the evil forces of Skeletor.
But to defeat such a powerful villain, Prince Adam will first need to uncover the mysteries of his past and become He-Man, the most powerful man in the Universe. Amazon MGM Studios, Escape Artists and Mattel Films will release the film in cinemas on June 5th 2026.
