Marvels “Vision Quest” Series Sets Scribes

A listing on the Writers Guild of America website appears to confirm “Vision Quest” is the name being given to a Marvel Studios series for the Disney+ service.

The posting lists Megan McDonnell and Peter Cameron as being in the writer’s room for the series. Both are recent Marvel regulars who served as writers on “WandaVision” and the upcoming spin-off “Agatha: Coven of Chaos”.

McDonnell also has writing credits on this year’s “The Marvels” film, whilst Cameron was a writer and producer on both “Moon Knight” and “Werewolf By Night”.

We last saw Paul Bettany’s character in the “WandaVision” finale as an all-white version of Vision which was reactivated by S.W.O.R.D. and ultimately acquired Vision’s memories before flying off to places unknown.

Reports of a series centering on Vision emerged a few months back and at the time indicated the series would see him “trying to regain his memory and humanity”.

It’s unclear if the series will adapt the actual comic storyline from the “Vision Quest” comic series. A more obvious question is whether Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch will return considering the events of “Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness,” though Olsen has expressed interest in reprising the role – especially if the character is able to achieve some level of peace and redemption.

The listing also indicates a release during the 2024-2025 TV season, a full year after “Agatha: Coven of Chaos” which is listed as 2023-2024. This fits in with the recent removal of release window listings on the Disney+ service of upcoming Marvel series with the likes of “Loki” S2 and “Secret Invasion” having their pages changed to ‘Coming Soon’ rather than specific listings of Summer 2023 and Spring 2023 respectively.
