Insomniac Games and PlayStation have announced a January 30th 2025 release date for the PC port of the PS5-exclusive title “Marvel’s Spider-Man 2”.
Arriving approximately 15 months after the PS5 release, the port is being handled by Nixxes Software who did the two previous “Spider-Man” game PC ports as well. The title will be released on both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
At the same time, Insomniac released the bad news – there will be no additional DLC for the game for any version of it. They say in a statement:
“While we have no additional story content planned for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, we’re delighted to bring all of our previously released post-launch content to the PC version, including New Game+, new suits and color variants, Photo Mode features, and more.”
Set nine months after the events of “Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales,” the new game sees Peter Parker and Miles Morales enter new chapters in their lives as they balance their responsibilities as protectors of Marvel’s New York.
As Harry Osborne, Peter’s best friend, returns to his life, and Miles looks to build his future beyond high school, the relationship between our heroes is tested and strained as the mysterious symbiote appears to threaten them, the city, and the ones they love.
Peter begins to change as he gains symbiote powers, and Miles, Mary Jane, Harry, and the rest of the friend group must help Peter while also facing the impending threats from a cast of new villains like Kraven, Lizard, Sandman, and Venom.
Specifics of the PC port are expected to be unviled closer to the release date.
