With just one day before reviews arrive and five days before it hits consoles, Insomniac Games and PlayStation have released a launch trailer for the highly anticipated PS5-exclusive title “Marvel’s Spider-Man 2” due out in stores on October 20th.
Set nine months after the events of “Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales,” the new game sees Peter Parker and Miles Morales enter new chapters in their lives as they balance their responsibilities as protectors of Marvel’s New York.
As Harry Osborne, Peter’s best friend, returns to his life, and Miles looks to build his future beyond high school, the relationship between our heroes is tested and strained as the mysterious symbiote appears to threaten them, the city, and the ones they love.
Peter begins to change as he gains symbiote powers, and Miles, Mary Jane, Harry, and the rest of the friend group must help Peter while also facing the impending threats from a cast of new villains like Kraven, Lizard, Sandman, and Venom.
The title marks Sony’s biggest exclusive for the year and goes up against a busy marketplace with “Assassin’s Creed Mirage” and “Forza Motorsport” now out, both “Sonic Superstars” and “Super Mario Bros. Wonder” hitting this week; and both “Alan Wake II” and “Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1” due the following week.
