In the wake of the world premiere of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” the other night to so far great reaction (and awards buzz), some more Marvel news and rumors have cropped up.
First up, reporter Jeff Sneider tells The Hot Mic podcast that Marvel Studios is rumored to be working on a new series titled “Vision Quest” and centered around Paul Bettany’s Vision – presumably the all-white version seen at the end of “WandaVision”.
Sneider says according to his sources, Marvel will be opening a writers’ room for the series next week. It’s not clear if the comic storyline of the same will be part of the show’s storyline.
The same report also indicates that Doctor Doom will apparently not be the main villain of the upcoming “Fantastic Four” film. That character stirred some social media conversation recently regarding rumors of a potential cameo in “Wakanda Forever” – until those who saw the film indicated there is no such cameo.
Surprisingly little news about future Marvel projects was garnered from the ‘Wakanda Forever’ premiere, the sole quote of interest being Marvel’s Kevin Feige responding to Deadline asking him about James Gunn’s new job at DC: “Well, he has got a lot of work to do for Marvel between now and May, which he’s well aware of [laughs]. But after that, I’ll be first in line to see anything he does.”
More amusing was actor Oscar Isaac who spoke with Collider recently to clarify his previous comments about a potential second season of “Moon Knight,” saying there is no confirmation another season coming:
“We can’t definitively say that. I need my teasing abilities. Can’t drain me of those. What a cock tease I am… at the moment, there’s no official word.”
Marvel is set to release “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” in cinemas on November 11th, with “The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special” set to premiere on Disney+ two weeks later on November 25th.
