Marvel Studios has confirmed that they will not be holding a panel in Hall H at this year’s edition of the San Diego Comic Con.
The news isn’t surprising as it follows in the wake of “Avengers: Doomsday” being pushed from a planned May 2026 to December 2026 release.
This year’s event runs July 24th-27th, the same weekend that “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” is out with the company having already done plenty of promotion for the film – including a panel tomorrow at Brazil’s CCXP event.
Marvel has generally operated on a policy of only doing a panel if they have something major to show or announce, which in this case they don’t.
After F4. which is still apparently being tinkered with eight weeks out from release, their next film is “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” which hasn’t begun shooting yet and isn’t due out until after next year’s event.
Meanwhile on the live-action TV front there is only “Wonder Man” and the still in production second season of “Daredevil: Born Again” between in that year gap between Comic-Cons, not enough for a good showing.
Marvel is still expected have a presence at the confab though with panels for the brand’s comics and games. Marvel previously skipped Hall H presentations in 2011, 2015, 2018, 2020, 2021 and 2023.
