Marvel Studios has reportedly set one of their go-to scribes, Michael Waldron, to pen a new film adaptation of the comic “Nova”.
The property has been stuck in development as a potential Disney+ series for years, but now the studio has decided to rework it as a feature film.
Waldron has a bunch of Marvel experience. He served as head writer and executive producer on Marvel’s acclaimed Disney+ series “Loki,” wrote the script for Sam Raimi’s “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” and was writing Kevin Feige’s now scrapped “Star Wars” film.
Ed Bernero (“Criminal Minds”) was previously attached as showrunner and writer on the “Nova” series while Sabir Pirzada (“Moon Knight”) was attached before that.
Waldron previous spoke last year about how “Chad Powers” star Glen Powell would be a pretty good fit for Nova.
No director, star or potential release date has been suggested for the show.
