One of the most anticipated films in the MCU’s Multiverse Saga is the latest incarnation of “Fantastic Four” with Marvel fans hoping the third time is the charm for the property.
Prior to its debut in February 2025, there is still more development work to be done. However, a new report suggests one key bit of groundwork will be laid out first before its arrival.
The Cosmic Circus indicates that Marvel Studios is believed to be in the early stages of planning another of its one-off ‘Special Presentation’ episodes on Disney+ following the recent success of “Werewolf by Night”.
That episode they claim will be centered on the Silver Surfer, the iconic character who primarily acts as herald of the world-eating Galactus.
Their sources indicate the one-off will feature “Norrin Radd as Galactus’ Herald out in the far corners of the cosmos. Radd will not be on Earth during his special presentation and will also not interact with any cosmic characters already established in the MCU.”
The tone and vibe of Netflix’s “The Sandman” is being dubbed as the inspiration for the special which could also function as a precursor to the “Fantastic Four” film which debuts February 14th 2025. One thing their sources indicate is the special must be released before the “Fantastic Four” film hits cinemas.
A report the other week suggested that Marvel is doubling down on the Special Presentation format with more of them to come. Short of the upcoming “Guardians of the Galaxy” holiday special, no other Special Presentations have been revealed as yet though a Nova-centered one seems likely.
