James Marsden and Idina Menzel will reprise their “Enchanted” roles in the upcoming sequel “Disenchanted” which will premiere directly on the Disney+ service.
Composer Alan Menken, who is in the process of writing new music for the film, confirmed the news to JLGB Virtual (via Collider) and the pair join fellow returnees Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey in the fantasy follow-up.
Menken also says the film is “really good,” and that “it’s filming” now. Marsden and Menzel’s inclusion indicates the animated world of Andalasia will tie into the story again as the pair returned to that world at the end of the first film.
Adam Shankman is helming the project set ten years after the events of the first film as Giselle reconsiders her love of the real world.
