Oscar-nominated “Phantom Thread” actress Lesley Manville will take over the role of Princess Margaret, Elizabeth’s younger sister, for the fifth and final season of Netflix’s “The Crown”.
Manville replaces Helena Bonham-Carter who took on the role in the third and fourth season, and Vanessa Kirby who played it in the first two seasons.
Earlier this year, Imelda Staunton was unveiled as taking on the role of Queen Elizabeth II – replacing Olivia Colman who played QE2 in last year’s third season and the fourth season due to air later this year.
The fifth and final season is due to be shot in 2021.
