A couple of key release date changes have been announced.
Disney has set a March 10th 2023 theatrical release date for its new film adaptation of the Disneyland ride “Haunted Mansion”. Its only competition at present is Paramount’s new “Dungeons & Dragons”.
Justin Simien directs “Haunted Mansion” which stars Tiffany Haddish, Owen Wilson, Rosario Dawson, Danny DeVito and LaKeith Stanfield.
Next, Searchlight has set “The Guard” and “Calvary” director Martin McDonagh’s new dark comedy feature “The Banshees of Inisherin” for a limited release on October 21st.
Colin Farrell, Barry Keoghan, Brendan Gleeson and Kerry Condon star in the film which follows a pair of lifelong friends on a remote Irish island who hit an awkward time when one no longer wants to be friends.
Finally, there is Universal who has set the Nicholas Hoult and Nicolas Cage-led comedy “Renfield,” about Dracula’s long-suffering servant, for an April 14th 2023 release.
Chris McKay helms the film which recently saw James Moses Black join a cast that also includes Awkwafina, Ben Schwartz, Adrian Martinez, Shohreh Aghdashloo and Bess Rouss.
