Rick Famuyiwa confirmed he has directed the final two episodes of the third season of “The Mandalorian,” revealing the news as part of the show’s Lucasfilm Showcase at Star Wars Celebration.

Famuyiwa promises the final two episodes will have a “lot of interesting things have been planted that we can see some resolution of” including not just events of “The Mandalorian” but also “The Book of Boba Fett”.

The third season still has those two episodes to air and showrunner Jon Favreau says the appreciation when Ahmed Best appeared on screen the other week gave those on the team a lot of joy.

Audience in attendance at the panel scored a video thank you from Pedro Pascal and were shown the opening seven minutes of the show’s seventh episode airing next week.
