Actor Giancarlo Esposito had a scene-stealing turn as the villain Moff Gideon in the season finale of “The Mandalorian” on Disney+. The first season concluded with the reveal he was in possession of what’s been dubbed a Darksaber.
Esposito confirmed recently we’ll be seeing more of it next season, the actor telling CBM: “Major, major, epic, epic lightsaber action happening on this show, and I should mention that I’m the only character in this first season who was able to be honored with having that lightsaber.”
Meanwhile Black Series Rebels (via Movieweb) is reporting today that Robert Rodriguez, Bryce Dallas Howard and James Mangold have apparently been involved in directing some of the show’s second season though that’s not confirmed at this point.
