Frustrated over the long delays and seemingly uncertain theatrical future of Fox’s “The New Mutants” film? You’re not the only one, one of its key stars is also decidedly annoyed and is speaking up about it.
“Game of Thrones” actress Maisie Williams spoke with Rolling Stone about finishing up on the HBO series and spoke of it in glowing terms. When the question turned toward the horror-themed “X-Men” spin-off film however, she’s not happy with what’s going on.
Williams says: “Who knows when the f— that’s gonna come out” and confirmed that the film was supposed to go through reshoots in an effort to ‘make it scarier,’ but said reshoots never actually took place. Williams even asked one of her co-stars, Charlie Heaton recent: “what the f— is going on with that movie?” but he didn’t have any answers either. She adds: “Hopefully this interview will make everyone hurry up a little bit.”
She still hopes her character of Wolfsbane will get to meet Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) on screen sometime: “It would be ridiculously stupid if they didn’t do that”. At present “The New Mutants” is supposedly set to hit theaters on August 2nd.
