Next, hot on the heels of their unveiling of the long-in-the-works “007 First Light” video game, developers IO Interactive are keeping up the Bond theme.

The company is bringing “Casino Royale” villain Le Chiffre to its “Hitman: World of Assassination” game, and has enlisted actor Mads Mikkelsen to reprise his role from the 2006 Bond film which served as Daniel Craig’s first outing as the character.

In a statement following the reveal at Summer Games Fest, Mikkelsen says: “Le Chiffre is a character I have always enjoyed – he’s calculating, cold, and ruthless. Bringing him into the world of Hitman makes for a thrilling collaboration. Players can expect mind games, high stakes, and twists that only this character could orchestrate. To succeed, they’ll need to play their hand wisely.”

Mikkelsen marks the latest Celebrity Elusive Target mission for the game following the likes of Gary Busey, Jean-Claude van Damme, Sean Bean, Dimitri Vegas, Conor McGregor and more.

The mission, named ‘The Banker’, is available now and lasts until July 6th. Players with an IOI account who beat the mission will unlock a special suit which can be used in the upcoming “007 First Light”.

In addition it has also been revealed that a co-op mode is in development for the game, no word as to when it might release.
