“Altered Carbon” star Anthony Mackie is currently in production on Marvel’s “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” TV series for the Disney+ streaming service and recently the actor was asked what he could tease about the show.
First up, Extra asked about the potential return of Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, last seen in outer space, who might ba back to give the new Captain his blessing. Mackie initially jokes saying: “I hope so. I heard Falcon becomes Sam Jackson, that’s what I heard, so that’s what I’m hoping for” before adding: “We ain’t finished shooting yet, so I hope he just show up one day and bless us with his presence.”
Mackie also spoke with THR and says the various upcoming Marvel Disney+ TV series will be very different than the movies going forward – and not just in content but also presentation:
“They’re going to feel different in and of themselves, because they’re shot in a completely different way than the movies. I think people are going to be surprised by how in-depth and evolved the characters become by having six to eight hours to them, instead of just two hours. With this, you really get to see who the characters are in their lives between the movies.”
Additionally, FFilmu reports that the show’s production will soon be headed to Prague to shoot scenes around Ploskovice Castle – a site that is being speculated to serve as Baron Zemo’s ancestral home in the series.
“The Falcon & The Winter Soldier” is still scheduled to premiere this August on the Disney+ service.
