The Will Forte-led “MacGruber” comedy franchise is coming back with Peacock’s eight-episode season follow-up to the 2010 feature comedy set to drop shortly.
To celebrate, Peacock has released a musical video recap titled “The Greatest Man To Ever Walk Planet Earth” and starring Maya Rudolph as MacGruber’s past love interest Casey who sings the number.
The new “MacGruber” begins more than a decade after his last appearance as the character is let out of prison to track down Billy Zane’s bad guy Brigadier Commander Enos Queeth in this outing. Kristen Wiig, Ryan Phillippe, Sam Elliott, Laurence Fishburne, Joseph Lee Anderson and Timothy V. Murphy co-star.
John Solomon, Jorma Taccone, and Forte serve as writers, executive producers, and showrunners with the first two directing all the episodes which will exclusively hit Peacock on Thursday, December 16th.
