20th Century Fox has set Will Widger to pen a live-action adaptation of Shannon Watters, Grace Ellis and Noelle Stevenson’s comic “Lumberjanes”.
The story follows five young girls spending the summer at a scout camp, where they encounter strange creatures and other supernatural phenomena.
Though initially planned as a limited eight-part series, the comic became an ongoing one with sales and critical acclaim.
Ross Richie and Stephen Christy will produce and it’s expected a female director will be selected once the script is finished.
