Luke Evans Joins Hulu’s “Nine Perfect Strangers”

Luke Evans (“The Alienist,” “The Hobbit”) will join the previously cast Nicole Kidman and Melissa McCarthy in the limited series adaptation “Nine Perfect Strangers” for Hulu, Blossom Films and Made Up Stories.

Kidman and producer Bruna Papandrea will adapt Liane Moriarty’s best-selling book which takes place at a boutique health-and-wellness resort that promises healing and transformation as nine stressed city dwellers try to get on a path to a better way of living.

Watching over them is the resort’s director Masha (Kidman), a woman on a mission to reinvigorate their tired minds and bodies, but these nine strangers have no idea what is about to hit them.

Evans will play Lars, one of the titular strangers and joins recently cast Manny Jacinto (“The Good Place”). David E. Kelley and “Edge of Tomorrow” writer John Henry Butterworth will serve as showrunners as well as co-write the series.
