“Lucifer” Showrunners Close Season 6 Deal

“Lucifer” showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson have reportedly closed new deals to stay on for a potential sixth season, while star Tom Ellis is still in negotiations on a deal though “all sides are expecting a positive outcome” according to reports.

Word came two weeks ago that Netflix didn’t want to ditch the series just yet, despite the upcoming sixteen-episode fifth season having previously been announced as the final one. As a result, talks were underway with Warner Bros. TV to extend the show to a sixth season.

Those talks have now progressed and so the new season will likely be announced soon. The fifth season is just finishing up production and will air in two eight-episode blocks starting later this year.
