“The Transporter,” “The Incredible Hulk” and “Now You See Me” helmer Louis Leterrier has emerged as the top choice to take over the tenth “Fast and Furious” movie following director Justin Lin’s abrupt departure last week – just days into filming.
Details still need to be worked out but if it comes together, the film could be back on track in a matter of days. Leterrier is known as being a reliable helmer working on big-budget, effects-heavy fare.
Lin co-wrote the film with Dan Mazeau and remains on board as producer. His exit surprised everyone and forced the studio to switch to second unit photography as it hurried to find a replacement.
