Sony has sold off the worldwide rights to the Phil Lord and Christopher Miller-produced animated feature “Connected” to Netflix.
Now titled “The Mitchells vs. the Machines,” the film follows an everyday family’s struggle to relate while technology rises up around the world.
Sony had originally planned to open the film on October 23rd but the soft grosses of “Tenet” saw them pushed it into sometime this year.
That’s changed now with Netflix paying over $110 million for the film’s global rights sans China. Mike Rianda and Jeff Rowe direct from their own script.
The film’s voice cast includes Abbi Jacobson, Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, Mike Rianda, Eric Andre, Olivia Colman, Blake Griffin and Doug The Pug.
