Marvel Studios has cast British acting legend Richard E. Grant in its “Loki” TV series. Grant will reportedly only appear in a single episode of the series which sees Tom Hiddleston reprising his famed role.
The series will reportedly feature Thor’s brother popping up at different times in human history and influencing major events. Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Sophia Di Martino also star in the show which is targeting an early 2021 debut on the Disney+ streaming service.
At the same time, Marvel Studios has also set a Summer 2021 air date for the animated series “What If…?” on Disney+. In addition, Quebec City-based animation studio Squeeze will produce five of ten episodes of the upcoming series with the first season only focusing on stories from The Infinity Saga.
Jeffrey Wright has been cast as the voice of The Watcher in the series, the character serving as the narrator throughout. Pretty much all of the MCU actors are set to reprise their roles in the animated series.
