Lindsay Lohan is coming out of big screen semi-retirement to star in a yet-to-be-titled Netflix holiday rom-com movie.
Sounding like a Yuletide and alpine version of the famed 1980s Hawn-Russell comedy “Overboard,” Lohan will play a newly engaged and spoiled hotel heiress who gets amnesia after a skiing accident.
She finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas. Production on the film aims to begin in November with Janeen Damian directing from a script they co-wrote with Michael Damian, Jeff Bonnett and Ron Oliver.
The rest of the film’s cast has not yet been announced. Lohan’s last real major film was Paul Schraeder’s “The Canyons” in 2013, since then she’s mainly been doing the occasional TV appearance though did star in the indie thriller “Among the Shadows” in 2019.
