Anna Sawai (“F9: The Fast Saga”), Ren Watabe (“461 Days of Bento”), Kiersey Clemons (“Zack Snyder’s Justice League”), Joe Trippett (“Mare of Easttown”) and Elisa Lasowski (“Versailles”) will star in the untitled live-action “Godzilla” series for the Apple TV+ service.
Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that levelled San Francisco and the shocking new reality that monsters are real, the untitled series explores one family’s journey to uncover its buried secrets and a legacy linking them to the secret organization known as Monarch.
The series was created by Chris Black and Matt Fraction, with Black serving as showrunner. Matt Shakman (“WandaVision”) is set to direct the first two episodes.
Legendary Television and Toho Co. Ltd are backing the project which comes in addition to the upcoming “Godzilla vs. Kong” sequel due out in early 2024.
