A full fifteen years after co-starring in Marvel Studios’ “The Incredible Hulk,” Liv Tyler will make her return to the MCU for the upcoming “Captain America: New World Order”.
Tyler will reprise the role of scientist Betty Ross, daughter of General Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross played by the late William Hurt in several films. Harrison Ford will take over the role in this new installment as well as the upcoming “Thunderbolts” film.
Tyler starred opposite Edward Norton as Bruce Banner/The Hulk in the 2008 “The Incredible Hulk,” the second feature of the MCU films. Norton famously exited the role after and was replaced by Mark Ruffalo.
Tyler’s Ross hasn’t been seen since that film, but she’s back as is Tim Blake Nelson who will reprise his role of Samuel Sterns/The Leader from the 2008 film for the new “Captain America”. Recently Tim Roth reprised his role of Emil Blonsky/The Abomination for the “She-Hulk” series.
Others returning for ‘New World Order’ including “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” alums Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley and Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres along with Anthony Mackie headlining the film as Sam Wilson who has inhabited the mantle of Captain America.
“The Cloverfield Paradox” director Julius Onah is directing the feature which is currently shooting in Atlanta. ‘Winter Soldier’ show creator Malcolm Spellman wrote the script with Dalan Musson.
“Captain America: New World Order” has set a May 3rd 2024 release.
