Mark Osborne (“The Little Prince”) has been set to direct and co-write the film adaptation of Jeff Smith’s Eisner-winning comic series “Bone” at Warner Bros. Pictures and Lin Pictures.
Adam Kline (“Artemis Fowl”) has been tapped to co-write the script for the animated feature which has been in the works since Warners snagged the rights in 2008.
The comic told of three Bone cousins – small, bald and humanlike creatures with big noses – who are separated and lost in a vast uncharted desert after being run of out Boneville. One by one they find their way into a deep forested valley filled with wonderful and terrifying creatures.
Dan Lin and Zareh Nalbandian will produce with the plan to make a trilogy of animated features based on the property.
