Emmy winner Lisa Kudrow is set to lead the cast of Taika Waititi’s TV series adaptation of the 1981 Terry Gilliam film classic “Time Bandits” at the Apple TV+ service.
The project is dubbed a comedic journey through time and space with a ragtag group of thieves and their newest recruit: an 11-year-old history nerd named Kevin (Kal-El Tuck).
Kudrow joins a cast that includes Charlyne Yi, Tadhg Murphy, Roger Jean Nsengiyumva, Rune Temte, Kiera Thompson and Rachel House. Waititi is a co-writer on the series and will direct the first two episodes.
Paramount Television Studios, Anonymous Content’s AC Studios and MRC Television are producing the series with Waititi, Jemaine Clement, Iain Morris and Garrett Basch executive producing.
