STX and Lionsgate are reportedly well into working out a new strategic deal that will see Lionsgate distributing and marketing STX’s upcoming theatrical releases.
Titles on the slate include Guy Ritchie’s “Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre,” Michael Mann’s “Ferrari” biopic, Neil Burger’s “The Marsh King’s Daughter” starring Daisy Ridley and Garrett Hedlund, and the sequel to the Gerard Butler-led “Greenland”.
STX will remain an independent studio outside the Lionsgate deal, with plans to produce 12-15 movies annually composed of theatrical and streaming titles.
