Lionsgate is developing a remake/reboot of “Dirty Dancing” says Production Weekly.
Julia Dahl (“Uptown Girl”) has apparently been hired to pen a script that would reimagine the original which starred Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey.
Lionsgate released a pseudo-sequel, “Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights”, in 2004 which financially bombed for the studio.
