Lionsgate has set release dates for three of its upcoming features including the highly anticipated Nicolas Cage super-meta action-comedy “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent”.
That film will open on April 22nd 2022 and stars Cage as a fictionalized version of himself who is recruited by a CIA operative (Tiffany Haddish) to attend the birthday of a dangerous superfan (Pedro Pascal). He must channel his most iconic and beloved on-screen characters to save himself and his loved ones.
Also today a March 18th 2022 release has been set for the feel-good film “The Unbreakable Boy” about a boy born with a rare brittle bone disease and autism. Despite the obstacles he faces, he continues to hold a joyous, funny, and life-affirming worldview. “Shazam” star Zachary Levi plays the boy’s father.
Finally, The Erwin Brothers-directed documentary “The Jesus Music” has been set for an October 1st 2021 opening. It will deal with the rise of Christian music from America’s 1960 counterculture movement to become a worldwide multi-billion dollar industry.
