Lionsgate has issued a 30-second commercial announcing “Wick” week. The event involves the upcoming “John Wick: Chapter 4” with the studio announcing they are planning five days of ‘new exclusives every day’ this coming week.
What those exclusives consist of isn’t clear beyond one very likely to be a third and final trailer ahead of the film’s release on March 24th. Another could be the final poster.
Should the promotion encompass the larger franchise then there is potential for some big exclusives with the teaser trailer for “The Continental” prequel series spin-off due this year likely. A featurette or clip from the currently in production Ana de Armas-led “Ballerina” film may arrive as well but that film likely won’t arrive until 2024 so it may be too early.
At least one featurette about the making of the fourth film is very likely. Spanning Japan, Jordan, Germany, France and the U.S., ‘Chapter 4′ sees Keanu Reeves’ John Wick uncovering a path to defeating the High Table.
Before he can earn his freedom, Wick must face off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe and forces that turn old friends into new foes.
Regulars Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane and Lance Reddick are back while Rina Sawayama, Donnie Yen, Shamier Anderson, Bill Skarsgard, Hiroyuki Sanada, Scott Adkins, Natalia Tena, George Georgiou and Clancy Brown co-star in the film which will have the longest runtime of the franchise thus far.
