“Lincoln Lawyer” S2 To Be Split In Two

Netflix

Netflix has announced that the upcoming second season of its series adaptation of Michael Connelly’s “The Lincoln Lawyer” is set to be split in two.

The first five episodes will be released on July 6th with the second five episodes to follow on August 3rd. In addition, a new poster for the series was also released focusing on Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Mickey Haller.

David E. Kelley produces the new take on the author’s character, a Los Angeles lawyer operating out of his car, who was previously adapted onto film with Matthew McConaughey starring.

Whilst the first season adapted Connelly’s second book “The Brass Verdict,” the new season will adapt the fourth book “The Fifth Witness” and Garcia-Rulfo will be back along with Neve Campbell, Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole and Angus Sampson.

That book sees Haller called on to defend a long-standing client, Lisa Trammel, when she is suspected of murdering wealthy Mitchell Bondurant. Haller faces a prosecutor against whom he has never won, whilst the victim has links to organised crime.

Dailyn Rodriguez (“Queen of the South”) has boarded the drama as co-showrunner and executive producer alongside Ted Humphrey. Kelley is expected to be less involved this time out.

The first season premiered in May last year and steadily stayed in Netflix’s Global Top 10 in the weeks after its release.
