“Long Shot” and “Warm Bodies” helmer Jonathan Levine has been announced as director of all eight episodes of the highly anticipated Hulu limited series “Nine Perfect Strangers”.
Based on “Big Little Lies” author Liane Moriarty’s latest novel, the series takes place at a boutique health-and-wellness resort that promises healing and transformation as nine stressed city dwellers try to get on a path to a better way of living.
Watching over them is the resort’s director Masha (Nicole Kidman), a woman on a mission to reinvigorate their tired minds and bodies, but these nine strangers have no idea what is about to hit them.
The cast includes Melissa McCarthy, Luke Evans, Manny Jacinto, Melvin Gregg, Samara Weaving and Tiffany Boone. The project is about to kick off filming in Australia as Evans has indicated he’s currently in the midst of a second week of mandatory quarantine upon arrival ahead of his filming commitments on the series.
Levine will also executive produce the series which is expected to debut on Hulu in 2021.
