“Legally Blonde” scribes Karen McCullah and Kirsten Smith are set to pen a reboot of Blake Edwards hit 1979 comedy “10” at Warner Bros. Pictures. Sue Kroll and Jeff Nathanson will produce.
Dudley Moore and Bo Derek starred in the original about a Hollywood composer going through a mid-life crisis who becomes infatuated with a newly married woman.
The contemporary re-imagining offers a more comedic look at the question of what defines a ‘perfect 10’ in today’s world and will be inspired “by the original film’s wit, humor and groundbreaking conversations around sexual politics”.
The original was nominated for two Oscars and pulled in $75 million at the box-office.
